Introduction.

As you have read in the introduction, you can use a number of steps from Coachview to ensure that a participant is registered in Certwell. This gives the participant access to one or more exams. Has the participant passed this exam? The result will be sent back to Coachview and the attendance and pass will be registered. The course request gets an approval.


In the steps below you can read how to arrange this through the service center in Coachview.



Set up and activate connection via the service center:

Click in function group 'Service center' on the function 'Links'. Different panels with possible links are shown.
Click on the 'Configure' button in the 'Other' Panel in the 'CertWell' box.
Before the link can be activated (authenticated) you need to fill in the details below:

Panel General:
Settings:
If necessary, change the name of this body.
Api Key:A unique key that requires the connection between Coachview and Certwell. You can request it from Certwell.
Api Username:
Unique name used to login to Certwell via web services. You can request this from Certwell.
URL:This is the URL to the Certwell web service. It is already filled out for you and may not be changed.

Panel User:
Email address:
Which e-mail address should be used? Choose an email type from the list:
  1. Business
  2. Private
  3. Mobile
  4. Preference
  5. First
  6. Always E-mail1, regardless of the set type.
  7. Always E-mail2, regardless of the set type.
  8. Always E-mail3 regardless of the set type.

Note: This e-mail type must be entered in the personal files.
Externid:

Which field in Coachview should be used as a unique idnumber in Certwell?

Choose one of the following fields from the list:


  1. PersonID, this is a unique database number of the participant's personal file.
  2. ExternID, This is a unique key imported through companies and persons. Note: The Extern source is also important.
  3. ExternID of PersonID, Can't find the participant's ExternID? Then PersonID will be used.

Where can I find these?
PersonID: open the personal search screen and make sure that the person is visible in the list.
  1. Hover your mouse over the name in the 'Name' column. At the bottom left of the screen you will find a link with the id.
  2. Export the list to a CSV / Excel file using the arrow button at the bottom left of the list. The id can be found in the list in column A.


ExternID: open the details screen of the personal file. At the very bottom you will find the ExternID and the Externource.
Note:
  1. If there are already exam candidates in Certwell, check this field if these id's match the set id's from Coachview.

    Do not change the choice if participants have already been created in Certwell with this link.

Externsource:If you are using the ExternId then you have to fill in the value of the ExternSource here. This can be found in the personal file.

Username:Composition of the username in Certwell.
PrefixCoachviewPersonId:
If the PersonID is used then you can add a prefix to this number.

Note: no longer change if participants have already been created in CertWell with this link.
Free field country of birth:In the personal file of Coachview you cannot fill in the country of birth of the participant. Select a free field on personal level and select it from the list. If you have opened a personal file, you can fill in the country code (e.g. NL) via the tab 'Free fields'. If the free field is not used, the country code of the address of the person will be used.

Panel Results (only change the next field if applicable):
Result definition:Select from the list the result definition you have set up in Coachview. If this has been entered, then 'grade' is registered as a result from CertWell for course question units. Supported result types 'Free' and 'Absolute'.

Once you have entered and saved all the data, you can enable the link.
  1. Click on the 'Enable' button.
  2. A warning will be given about the monthly costs. If you want to continue, click on the 'Confirm' button.

Congratulations the link has been made!

The link is always possible:
  1. To be paused, click on the 'Pause' button.
  2. Be removed by clicking on the 'Delete' button.

Pausing this link means that there is no more contact with Certwell. Click on the 'Resume' button to cancel the pause.
