Why?
VAT is the tax you pay on your sales. You calculate the VAT in the price for your services. Every month, quarter or year, you file a tax return and pay the VAT. VAT that you have paid yourself on business expenses can be deducted.

How do you do that?
The VAT rates are already filled in for you by Coachview with the percentages 0, 6, and 21%. You can change them yourself, remove them, or add new VAT rates.

What do you have to look for?
Is Coachview linked to your accounting system? Then the codes for the different VAT rates in your accounting system must match the codes in Coachview. Below you can see an example.

Where do you use a VAT rate?
A VAT rate is used for a sales and purchase rule.
  1. Determine your sales: the sales rule is used to determine the price and possible discounts for a particular course. The sales rule is converted into an invoicing rule when you invoice.
  2. Determine your costs: the purchase rule is used to determine your costs that need to be made for a course. Purchase rules are grouped per creditor into a purchase order.
